So here it goes, my first post. I find it slightly daunting if only for the fact that this may set the tone for future posts that will hopefully go on for at least a year; well that's the goal anyway. So here I am, on a cloudy, attemping to rain, Vancouver afternoon contemplating what it is I want this blog to be about and what it is I want to say. Lately I have been perusing a few fashion blogs that I quite like which allowed me to round up some ideas. I suppose a lifestyle blog with a focus on style would be the sort of blog I find interesting and hope you will as well. Outfits, bargains. restaurants, recipes and whatever fun and, what I hope is interesting, tidbits I can come up with. Maybe I'll even throw a few personal shinanigans into the mix! Let's get crazy here folks!
So to start us off here is a list of a few songs I think are fantastic:
1. Let It Be Me - Ray LaMontagne
2. If I Ever Feel Better - Phoenix
3. About Today - The National
4. Followed The Waves - Melissa Auf Der Maur
5. Silver - Josh Pyke
What I'm Reading:
Barrel Fever by Michael Sedaris
Side note on Sedaris: This man is sooo funny! I've read several of his books and so far the best ones have been Me Talk Pretty One Day and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. But a word of caution; f you are sensitive, easily offended or do not appreciate crass humour step away from these books...
So here is what I wore today. Pretty much rolled out of bed and threw this very autumnish outfit together to match the weather outside. Then I scurried to the grocery store to get egg whites for a breakfast frittata.
To Be With You Jeans found at Ross, vintage red-brown western ankle boots, Kill City owl t-shirt, Zinc fur trimmed corduroy jacket and gifted necklace.
Sorry about the blurry, poor quality, self snapped photos. I guess that would be one good reason to procure a bf...someone to handle the photography for my blog! Any hot, single (this is key!), photographers out there?! A new Digital SLR for Christmas would be extremely helpful as well. Here's hoping I've been a good enough girl for Santa Baby to hurry down my chimney with possibly a Nikon d5000? Anyone have any thoughts on a good DSLR for a newbie?
